At ILE Consulting, transforming school systems starts with transforming mindsets. Too often students fall through the cracks not because they lack talent or will, but because the systems meant to support them are fragmented, inconsistent, or inaccessible. The handbook is an invitation to listen closely, build on the strengths of each school community, and lead alongside the people most affected by our decisions.
A Multi-Tiered System of Supports addresses academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs through layered, responsive supports — Tier 1 universal practices for all students, Tier 2 targeted supplements such as small-group instruction and mentoring, and Tier 3 individualized supports coordinated with families and community partners — always examined through an equity lens.
The handbook walks teams from a Tier 1 SEL problem of practice through a districtwide implementation model: aligning vision and defining look-fors, building capacity through walkthrough frameworks and feedback practices, integrating SEL across the curriculum, and reviewing progress with students, staff, and families.
